Teen Leadership Camp

Camp Oty Okwa - South Bloomingville, OH

Teens will spend a fun filled 4 days and 3 nights on a leadership adventure
in beautiful Hocking Hills. Activities may include team building
initiatives,
climbing tower, swimming, canoeing and much more.

Camp Corral Military Kids Camp

July 8 - 13, 2012

Canters Cave - Jackson, OH

This is an amazing week of non-stop fun and excitement in the great
outdoors.
Priority registration will go to the children of soldiers who have been
injured or fallen protecting our freedom. Camp Corral is a wonderful chance
for kids to share amazing adventures through boating, swimming, hiking,
archery and doing just about everything you can do enjoying fresh air and
nature.

Hero Camp:

OSU Sports Sampler & STRONG Family Workshop

July 31, 2012
Columbus, OH

Youth will participate in lacrosse, soccer and track and field as well as
focus on healthy nutrition and overall wellness.

Parents are invited to attend our Strong Families workshop that will run
parallel to this Hero Camp. This awesome program is fun and interactive and
will give you the additional tools and resources to make your military
family
shine!

8th Annual Kelleys Island Youth Camp

August 6 - 10, 2012

Kelleys Island 4-H Camp - Kelleys Island, OH

The great success of this camp lies in the awesome experience it provides
for military youth where they can learn, grow and build friendships with
other military youth in a fun and safe environment.

Activities include: Swimming, crafts, dancing, hiking, basketball, golf,
snorkeling, campfire cooking, soccer, boating, skits, talent shows, night
hikes and much more!

OMK Camp Kelleys Island Teen Camp is designed specifically with your teens
in mind. The fun and exciting activities allow these youth to build long
lasting friendships in an environment designed to challenge and engage them.

Activities may include: wakeboarding, sailing, waterskiing, tubing, boat

Operation: Military Kids is Recruiting Camp Counselors!!!

 

We are looking for outstanding young people who are interested in making a difference by serving as a volunteer counselor for our 2012 Operation: Military Kids Camps for military youth in Ohio. The minimum age is 15 and we welcome college students and young adults. There is no cost for counselors to attend camp.

 

As a camp counselor, you will get to be part of providing the “experience of a lifetime” for youth who have a family member serving in the military. As one of last year’s counselors said: “I loved being a counselor last year. It was a whole new experience for me and I loved all the amazing people I met.”

 

Selection Process:  All interested individuals will complete and submit an application. After receiving your application, you will be contacted to set up a time for an interview with the camp directors.  Selection decisions will be made on an on-going basis until positions are filled.

How to Apply: Because we are accepting applications on an on-going basis this year, interested individuals should return the completed application as soon as possible.  A Cover Letter, Position Description, and Application Form can be found in our 'Volunteer' tab at the top of the page.
