Operation: Air Guard Youth 4-H Camp
August 4 - 6, 2006
Youth in Southwestern Ohio who had a parent affiliated with the 178th Fighter Wing in the Ohio Air National Guard were given the opportunity to attend a weekend camp August 4-6, 2006. These youth were ages 9-12 years and enjoyed their camping experience at 4-H Camp Clifton, located in Yellow Springs, Ohio. While at camp, campers participated in silly camp songs, hiking, cardboard boat building, bottle rocket building and launching, and night swims. To form unity among the group, youth participated in a Speak Out For Military Kids program, which allowed them to discuss and illustrate the lifestyles that are created by being an Air National Guard youth. Youth also participated in team challenges and fishing while at camp for the weekend.
